I was once told by a graduate student while I was in undergrad for studio art that my photographs of friends at shows were “practice” and while art is a practice that you commit to every day, and you never stop getting better, that was frustrating because I had been taking photos since I was 13 at that point! For ten years! It’s been 13 years now, and I’m still going with photography. It’s practice only because art is a practice, not because I need to get better. I’m good.
